Three big URC games back-to-back on Premier Sports this Saturday kicking off at 2.30pm

PLUS three high profile games in France’s TOP14

RUGBY fans can enjoy a top-billing Saturday of TV rugby action on Premier Sports with THREE live games from the United Rugby Championship running back-to-back - with Edinburgh poised to go top of the URC leader board if they win at home against Cardiff Rugby (Premier Sports 1 from 2.30pm).

Edinburgh host Cardiff at the DAM Health Stadium in the Scottish capital in Saturday’s early URC kick-off and head into the clash just one point behind Leinster at the top – with the current leaders not in action this weekend.

Premier Sports then has all the action and a full talent team at Scotstoun for the second Scotland-versus-Wales clash as Glasgow Warriors welcome the Ospreys (Premier Sports 1 from 5.05pm) with Saturday’s live rugby coverage rounded off by an eagerly-awaited interprovincial battle as Munster take on Ulster in Limerick.

Both Welsh teams travel away to Scotland and will be hoping to get valuable points and wins under their belts with the Ospreys keen to bounce back after the disappointments of their last outing at Scarlets on New Year’s Day which was clinched in the final minutes by the home side in Llanelli (22-19).

The Saturday evening kick-off sees two Irish provinces in battle as Munster host Ulster in Limerick (Premier Sports 2 from 7pm).

Johann van Graan's Munster team, currently in 7th in the URC table (20 points) were beaten by Connacht last weekend (10-3).  Third-placed Ulster (on 25 points) who have played one more fixture than Munster, suffered a 19-13 URC defeat at the Ospreys on December 4th - before registering back-to-back wins in the Heineken Champions Cup.

Munster have not suffered three defeats in a row in this competition since December 2015. Ulster ended a run of six defeats against fellow Irish provinces when they won 20-10 at Leinster in their last such fixture but they have not won in Limerick since a 19-17 victory in May 2014.

Alongside URC action there’s three French clashes in the TOP 14 with the top three teams in the league – Bordeaux, Toulouse and Montpellier all in action on Premier Sports. Two games feature on Saturday afternoon kicking off with Castres against Stade Francais and followed by Brive against leaders Bordeaux Bègles who now have a five point lead at the top of the table.

TOP14 action concludes the weekend of rugby on Premier Sports with a Sunday night thriller as 2nd placed Toulouse host 3rd placed Montpellier (Premier Sports 2 from 8pm). Toulouse sit in second after losing out at Clermont (16-13) last weekend.
